Winamp

Believe it or not, almost 7 years after its initial release, the Foobar2000 v1.0 Beta is finally out , and with it comes a large list of changes. Most of them are much-needed interface fixes, but there is the welcome addition of built-in support for the streaming of Windows Media formats (ASX/MMS/RTSP). Other than that, it's much of the same.

A few weeks ago my trusty iPod finally gave out on me after years of use and abuse. While it was a sad day when I could no longer coax it into booting up without giving me the dreaded "sad Mac" face, I decided not to fork over the money to try and have it repaired, and began searching for a replacement. I considered buying one of the new iterations of the iPod or another mp3 player, but I also began exploring less expensive options.  

Right-click your file once you've loaded it into Winamp, and click on the "Send to..." option from the pop-up menu. A list will pop up, and in that list will be the "Format Converter" option. Click on it.
